Your bookkeeper isn't failing you. They're just not paid to do this.

A bookkeeper records what happened. An accountant lodges the return. Both can be doing their jobs perfectly well while nobody in the arrangement is paid to sit down and tell you what any of it means.

However it lands

Then one of three things is true.

You'll know which by the end of the call, and you're under no obligation to do anything about it.

You're charging too little. The most common finding, and the fastest to fix. If that's you, Profitable & Paid is six weeks and puts your prices right.

The structure is the problem. Pricing is fine, but the way the business is built means the money can't stay. That takes longer than six weeks, and it's what The Boardroom After Hours is for.

The numbers can't be trusted yet. Sometimes the finding is that the file won't carry a decision. Then it's bookkeeping first, and everything else after.

Whichever it is, you'll have it in writing.

I already have a bookkeeper and an accountant. Why would I need this?

Because neither of them is paid to tell you what your numbers mean. A bookkeeper records what happened. An accountant lodges the return. Both can be doing their job perfectly while you still have no idea whether you're profitable or which parts of the business are carrying the rest.

Do I have to change bookkeepers?

No. The Health Check is a one-off. You keep your bookkeeper, your accountant and your software. We read the file you already have.

What if my file is a mess?

Then that's the finding, and it's worth knowing. If the data's too poor to draw conclusions from we'll tell you plainly and quote the cleanup separately, rather than building a report on numbers that can't carry it.

Is this a sales pitch for something bigger?

It's a paid piece of work that stands on its own. You get the report whether or not you ever work with us again. If the findings point at something we offer, we'll say so once and leave it with you.

How long does it take?

About two weeks from the day we get access to your file, then a sixty minute call to walk you through the findings.
